After their continued success streak on Japan soil -starting with the Tokyo Dome concert, high sales of Stand by U,Oricon Charts etc - the boys are finally starting to branch out from their otherwise comfort zone of doing things together. First up was Yoochun and Jaejoong duo on their single Colors~Melody and Harmony and next to step up was U-Know, trying his luck in acting with his new drama "Heading to the Ground". And just recently, it seems that our magnae is starting to try out his luck too in acting when he was chosen as the lead role for the drama "Paradise Ranch".

The member of popular group TVXQ, Choikang Changmin (21) was selected as leading role of a new drama “Paradise Ranch”.
A joint production of publisher Samhwa Networks and TVXQ’s agency SM Entertainment, “Paradise Ranch” has announced Changmin as one of the cast.
“Paradise Ranch”: script writer by Jang Hyeon-joo known from “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince” and “Into The Sun” and co-writer Seo Hui-jung, is starting its shooting activities next month in Jejudo island.
From Samhwa Networks: “It’s a bright, cheerful story with beautiful background music to create a masterpiece melodrama. “Paradise Ranch” will start its local broadcast at the end of this year and go through Japan and also around Southeast Asia”.

And there's an ongoing rumor too that due to "solo" activities by the other members, it seems that Junsu would be doing his share too and would be launching a solo album. Hwaiting DBSK!
Frankly, after hearing all this, I did not feel the usual apprehension that accompanies these so-called "solo" activities. I think its hightime for them to expand their horizon and do other things besides singing. It would ensure longevity in the industry and would also enable them to train themselves aside from singing. I know that rumor of them "disbanding" would probably heighten with Changmin now on a lead role as well, but I guess, to each his own. I would rather not think of disbandment issues cause I'm a close-minded person when it comes to them and I stick to the image of them together on stage. LOL

this single was released on july 1st and easily made its way to number 1 in the oricon charts. i am a little biased towards tohoshinki so i was all out on their single "stand by u" instead which ranked 2nd. i have never listened to this arashi song since it broke my tohoshinki expectation.
to cut the story short, i listened to it today and now i know why it ranked 1st. it is a pretty good song. it is catchy and fun.. after listening to it, you somehow feel good. good job... woot woo... this is only the 2nd song after "truth" from arashi that i have truly appreciated. and i have just listened to it for the 3rd time in a row.

I read from allkpop that DBSK was recently featured in a commercial in Japan! Yipee for the them! The boys are getting very popular in Japan!
Just last weekend the boys have made their concert in Tokyo Dome. According to my Japanese friend, artist who have the privilege of doing the concert are really popular artists! And if the concert is not enough, the boys topped the Oricon charts with their new single Stand By U. I have to say they deserve it as this is another good song! Now they have a new CF with actress Aya Ueto. Kudos to the boys!

After a successful dream-come true LIVE at the Tokyo Dome stage, Tohoshinki/DBSK conquered another almost impossible feat when they finally held the top spot at Oricon Daily Charts last July 5,2009 despite having Arashi on the charts as well. With sales closing to almost 30,00 copies( 29278 exactly), the Gods from the East uncrowned Japan's leading group band Arashi momentarily and left them at 2nd place with a sales of 21181.
We are sooo proud of you guys! I hope this keeps up. No offense to Arashi fans(btw, I am such a big fan of Matsumoto, so yeah) but this is definitely a moment to remember for all Toho/DBSK fans worldwide. Toho,Toho, Fighto!!!!!

Because of continued stalking on various forum sites for news on DBSK, I failed to post this great digital single by a renowned r&b/hiphop icon Wheesung. Originally, Insomnia was sung by Craig David and was one of the tracks in his album "Greatest Hits" released on the same date as Wheesung's digital single which was last February 18,2009. It was said that Craig David personally asked Wheesung to do the cover for the Korean version of the song. Hmm,makes me think..Is Craig David a closet fanboy as well? I can only hope..hehehe
To keep the atmosphere pumped up and those bodies sizzle, here's the full MV of Wheesung's Insomnia. So distinctly him and so addictive that it's on repeat wherever I go. No offense to Craig's fans, but I think Wheesung's version is better. He totally pawned it. Just see the MV to appreciate.

Like I've said time and again, the member I really adore is Choi Siwon. So smexy and so handsome! Recently, Siwon and Donghae (who ranks third on my list kikikiki) were featured in Ariel Lin's Music Video "Firefly". The video was released this week and I found one that had subtitles! yay!
Ariel Lin is my favorite Taiwanese actress. She's really good and she can play different personalities really well. It Started with a Kiss is on of my favorite Taiwanese dramas. Nobody can do justice to Xiang Qin's character the way she does! Aside from being an actress, this girl also has a very sweet voice. I love hearing her sing. Lonely Northern Hemisphere, the theme from another on of her dramas Love Contract, is one of my favorites.
This time, she releases a new song called Firefly. The song is a bittersweet number. The music video of the song features Choi Siwon and Lee Donghae. The music video is a really sad one. I felt my heart being broken to pieces - I'm such a sucker for these kind of songs! wahahaha.. The two guys were really cute here! I'd better stop before I go crazy! :D

Tohoshinki's 28th Japanese single, Stand By U, ranks second on Oricon Daily Charts with a total sales of 94838. They come in second to Johnny's Arashi which garnered the top spot with an astounding first day sales of 135053. But this is something that shouldn't sadden Tohoshinki/DBSK's fans. This single is a must-have for Toho fans and also for those who just want something good to listen to this summer. I personally recommend the first track Stand by U. The lyrics is just soooo sad, that this definitely goes in my repeat-list along with Doushite Kimi wo Suki ni natte shimattan darou(Why Have I Fallen for You). I still have to listen to a full length and HQ of Tea for Two but this coming from Tohoshinki, I bet it is nothing but perfect. Hope they do well in the Oricon..
